Terms of Service
Effective July 12, 2026. These terms govern your use of OrnaMoney Family Finance.
1. The service
OrnaMoney Family Finance is a parent-controlled family finance and child financial education service. Parents can create a household, manage child profiles, connect financial institutions through Plaid, review transactions, and choose which account and transaction information children can see.
The service is not a bank, broker, lender, investment adviser, tax adviser, credit counselor, payment processor, or money transmitter.
2. Parent responsibility and child access
A parent or legal guardian is responsible for creating the household, supervising child access, selecting what child profiles can see, and ensuring the service is appropriate for each child.
Children may only use the service with parent or guardian involvement. Parents are responsible for child usernames, passwords, and use of child-facing features.
3. Connected accounts and Plaid
If you connect a financial institution, you authorize the service and Plaid to access and process the account information needed to provide the selected features.
Connected-account data may be delayed, incomplete, modified by the financial institution, or unavailable. Plaid Transactions data should be treated as a freshness-aware data source, not a guarantee of real-time account status.
You may disconnect linked institutions where the app provides that control or by contacting support.
4. No custody, payments, or financial advice
OrnaMoney does not hold customer funds, initiate money movement, execute trades, provide loans, or make financial decisions for you.
Information in the service is for household budgeting, review, and education. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, credit, or accounting advice.
5. Account security
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential, using strong passwords, limiting access to trusted household members, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
You may not share reviewer, child, or parent credentials with anyone who is not authorized to access the household.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to violate law, infringe rights, harass others, bypass security, scrape or reverse engineer the service, interfere with service operation, upload malicious code, or access data you are not authorized to access.
You may not use the service for regulated financial services, lending, payment initiation, investment recommendations, or other high-risk uses unless we have expressly enabled those features in writing.
7. Privacy and data rights
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and delete personal data. By using the service, you acknowledge that household and connected-account data will be processed as described in that policy.
Parents can request access, correction, export, disconnection, or deletion of household and child data as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Fees and third-party services
Some features may require payment or third-party services. If payment features are enabled, billing terms will be presented before purchase.
The service depends on third parties such as hosting, authentication, database, payment, security, and financial-data connectivity providers. We are not responsible for outages, data delays, or policy changes caused by third-party providers.
9. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue features as needed for security, reliability, compliance, or product development.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe use of the service violates these terms, creates risk, or is unlawful. You may stop using the service and request deletion according to the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that data will always be accurate, current, complete, or uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or financial decisions made based on the service.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
